{Irish} You Were Here
Happy (almost) St. Patrick's Day everyone!! What a fun and color-filled holiday this is. I have always like the laid back quality of this holiday. I think my affinity of this day also has something to do with the fact that my birthday is always just right around the corner! That's probably it...
If any of you guys follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, then you will probably remember earlier this month, my family went to the North Texas Irish Festival in Fair Park. I thought this would be a perfect time to showcase those memories here on the blog now that it is finally St. Paddy's Day.
We had such a blast at this festival; there was tons of vendors, food, and musical acts performing all over the fair grounds. It also was a place where a ton of dog rescues came and held open adoptions, or just came out to promote their efforts towards pet adoption here in the metroplex. Believe me when I tell you, there were dogs everywhere you turned, and it was a dream come true.
My family had a blast seeing all the dogs, hearing some amazing Irish music, trying out some Irish cider and beer, and being able to get a Fletcher's Corney Dog there at the Fair Grounds. We also got to go to a booth that housed the lineage and history of a Scottish clan our family is directly descended from. It was so cool being able to see a huge pedigree chart throughout the centuries, and meet other people that are descendants as well!! It was just such a cool day filled with many awesome experiences.
I wanted to mimic the whimsy and fun of this day, so I decided to make some flower crowns for myself and my mom and sister. It truly put us in a festive mood, and I loved that it added a Celtic wood nymph vibe to our looks. It truly was the icing on the cake for us that day.
I hope everyone has a rocking and safe St. Patrick's Day. Make sure that if you're going to go out and celebrate, do not drink and drive! Carpool, or call a ride share. Be responsible while having fun!!
Thanks for reading, y'all!
