It's Fall, y'all

The weather is changing, the leaves are falling, 'Huluween' is in full swing! IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE GREATEST MONTHS OF THE YEAR.

Everything about this season is so invigorating; the sweltering heat of summer is beginning its fade into cooler temperatures, and every young girl can finally caption their next Instagram post with "Sweater weather! <3"

But, in spite of those who like to hate on anything pumpkin, and a certain nameless Aussie shoe brand, there are those of us who know what's up. Fall is the best. Fall is life. And fall beauty trends are something that has me v e r y excited.

Green is quickly becoming my fall uniform, both in my dress and in my makeup choices. There is something very ancient and resonating about the color. It's not the immediate choice that usually comes to mind when thinking of crisp weather colors, but once you see it, it just feels right.

Today, I channeled my inner Sabrina, (the teenage witch variety) and summoned this enchanting eye makeup.

Okay, I'll quit with the magic puns now, but you have to admit, they were pretty good!

Now, let's talk makeup!!

This entire look was achieved with my Jaclyn Hill Palette. It is any beauty-lovers dream. It is filled with earth tones and jewel tones alike. You virtually can do any kind of look with this one palette.

I started off by nestling the shade "Silk Cream" into my crease with a bigger, fluffy brush. I made sure this was really soft and blended well along the edges. Next, I used the same brush and dipped it into the shade "Pukey" and blended it a hint below the first color. I like to use darker shades going lower and lower towards the lash line, while keeping the lighter colors up towards the top.

Next, I took a more tapered blending brush, and dipped it into the shade "Mocha" and concentrated that color on the outer corner of my eyelid. With these three colors alone, you could stop here and have this be your look. I personally find this to be really gorgeous, and a more natural take on a smokey eye. But, with me, and with fall especially, more is more.

On a flat brush, I dipped into the shade "Diva" and stamped that all along my entire lid, not going into my crease. This color is everything. It is the perfect shade of evergreen. It has the amazing quality of not being tacky or like you are going to a gaudy Christmas party. This shimmering shade screams fall, in my humble opinion. I want this to look like a lazy-girl cut crease; my forever beauty aesthetic.

Lastly, I took the shade "Pool Party" on a tapered blending brush and tapped that where the brown and green meet on my outer corner. This vibrant matte blue brightens the green, and gives the eye a really interesting quality to it.

I mixed "Silk Cream" and "Pukey" and blended those on my lower lash line, added some mascara, and then promptly went to Starbucks to order a Blonde Flat White.

What do y'all think of this fun fall look? I like the mysterious edge the green adds to my air and how I carry myself. Makeup is fun that way.

Thank you for reading! I'm going to curl up in a giant sweatshirt and watch Hocus Pocus on repeat. Byeeeeeee.

-Em
