Hint of Sparkle

Spooky season has come and gone and now it's time for the season of giving, thankfulness, and GLITTER!!!

It comes as no surprise to those who really know me that I have had a long-standing love affair with sparkle. I am very vocal about my preference for anything that glitters and shines. And throughout my life, glitter has been my ride or die.

But, seeing as it's only November, we're not quite in the thick of the Holiday spirit yet. So, I wanted to create a look that embodied this transitional time of year as we gear down from scary, deep Halloween looks, and rev up towards Christmasy doll-like glam.

As we quickly approach Thanksgiving, I thought I would find a happy medium in both of those makeup aesthetics, and find some middle ground that suits anyone.

This look is perfect for a date night out, dinner with your friends, or sitting around the table on Thanksgiving Day, remembering all your personal reasons to be thankful.

It also is a great look to try out for someone who is usually hesitant to wear glitter; it's concentrated in the tear duct, highlighting the eye in such a flattering way, making them appear brighter, bigger, and helping to boost your natural eye color. Truly, it's the easiest way to dial up your makeup, and to trick others into thinking you have major skills in terms of application. It's quick and simple, but makes others think it was complicated and lengthy. Ahhh, the illusion of makeup; helps us trick other people into thinking we have our lives put together, one swipe of glitter at a time.

I used the Stila Magnificent Metals in the shade "Diamond Dust" in my inner corner, and down along the inner portion of my lower lash line. The formula in this liquid glitter is PHENOMENAL!! It is user-friendly, the doe foot applicator is the perfect width for bold and precision strokes, and it dries down quickly with ZERO fallout. No mess, just beautiful shine.

Another great thing about this line from Stila is that it comes in a wide range of colors, perfect for finding the perfect shade for different skin tones or color moods. You'll be able to find the perfect match for your makeup personality.

I hope y'all like this look, and I want to see any of your recreations on Instagram. Just tag me in your photos! I'd love to see your take on this look.

Thank you for reading!

-Em
