Faux Fur, Real Deal

I always struggle between juxtaposing desires within my heart; the desire to look ultra chic and glamorous, and the desire to be as comfortable as possible. Now, let's be real, these two things definitely do not always go hand-in-hand. They (usually) are complete opposites.

Enter in this furry sweatshirt. It accomplishes all of my hopes and dreams of comfy chic, all in one fell swoop.

If only y'all could reach through your screen and swipe your hand across this faux fur; it is gloriously soft. It makes me feel as if I'm walking around in a bathrobe. But, the cute, cold-shoulder detail adds a splash of flirty fun and fashion edge to this simple design. It takes this sweatshirt from casual, lounge potential, into a top that you can wear to brunch, or on date night.

I paired this sweatshirt with some of the comfiest black jeans I own. They are so stretchy and breathable. And that's high praise coming from someone who HATES wearing pants, okurrrrrr.

I then added on my patent black booties, and a to-die-for vintage beaded bag. I found this gem in a vintage shop in Bryan, Texas. It was made in the 30's, and I loved how this adds a glamorous flare to the whole look.

The off-the-shoulder, oversized sweatshirt feel really made me think of the 1980's. Images of my mom flashed before my eyes; highlighting similar silhouettes and overall feel of the outfit. I became inspired to incorporate some loose aspects of 80's fashion into my look.

My makeup was the way in which I incorporated this 80's inspiration into my look. I applied a wash of bright pink shadow all across my lid, fluffing it upwards onto my brow bone. I wanted to really feel the vibrancy of that era, and what better way than through hot pink eyes? I paired it with a bright pink/coral lip. Nothing about the 1980's was subtle, so that is why I decided to go bold on the eyes and the lip. Plus, the outfit is muted in colors, so this truly brightened up the whole look.

In honor of keeping my comfy chic theme, I piled up my hair into a fluffed-out ponytail. It's chic and casual, in the best way possible. Plus, ponytails are my go-to because I am the girl that will spend 30 minutes on my makeup, but will literally do nothing with my hair. I just have too much to care. Also, if I did my hair AND makeup everyday, I would be getting ready for a 2 solid hours. And I'm not about that life.

This look was really fun for me to create; it's easy, effortless, but undeniably fashionable. Most of all, this look was comfy!!! I felt great walking around talking pictures, eating lunch, or just curled up at home. It really does it all.

Do you have any pieces in your closet that you can take from the couch to brunch like I do? Comment down below! I'd love to read what it is, and why you love it!

Thank you so much for reading, and for your continued support. I appreciate every single one of you.
