Award Show Inspiration: Millie Bobby Brown
Award season ignites major beauty inspiration within my soul. Watching all of Hollywood's stars dressing to the nines and pulling out all the stops with their hair and beauty looks makes me extremely happy. This is what we all look forward to; seeing all of the starlets walk the red carpet and look absolutely stunning.
This past Sunday, the Screen Actors Guild Awards graced our television screens, and man, those actresses served some LOOKS. But one person that stood out for me, of course had to be Millie Bobby Brown. She may only be 13 years old, but she has paved her way in both the beauty and fashion industries respectively. Since emerging into super-stardom from her breakout role as Eleven on Stranger Things, MBB has quickly become not only a fan favorite, but a must-watch on any red carpet. Her adoring fans and seasoned stylists alike hungrily await her latest appearance in the public eye, ready to take notes. I am one of those people.
So, you can imagine how I felt when she stepped out onto the SAG Awards red carpet looking like a literal pink fairy. I was beside myself. Her custom Calvin Klein pink sequin dress, her black ribbon-adorned space buns, her low-key white Converse tennis shoes, and her ultra feminine glitter eye makeup. There is only one word that comes to my mind.
Divine.
She was giving me major inspiration, and I had to recreate this look IMMEDIATELY. My sparkly heart just could not resist. She is giving a fresh take on the classic 1990's girl power chic. This reminds me of the Spice Girls, and Zenon the Girl of the 21st Century-- some of my favorite females ever. With makeup this whimsical and fresh, I would feel like a Supernova Girl 24/7.
