Laid Back
Ever since the semester started, and making the big chop to my hair (!!!), ease has been my main focus when it comes to my daily routine. Whether it's the clothes I pick out, or the way I style my hair, the name of the game is comfort and simplicity.
That's why I love this whole outfit.
My black Kit and Ace dress is truly the comfiest article of clothing I own. Yes, it trumps alllll of my comfy sweaters, sweatpants, t-shirts, ect. I have even worn this dress to bed. That is how amazing it is. This brand focuses on using *Technical Cashmere fabrics that stand the test of time while feeling as soft as yoga pants. (insert prayer hands emoji here)
This dress is so versatile and is a great staple to have in your closet.
Then, I pulled on my mom's denim jacket, circa 1987. There's actually a cute story behind it. The first year that my parents started dating, my father bought this Guess jean jacket as a Christmas present for my mother. We're coming up on the 30 year anniversary of his gifting of the jean jacket this Christmas. I love that every time I slide my arms into this timeless piece, I am continuing a love story that started so long ago, and that is still going strong.
Lastly, I slipped into my Adidas Stan Smith's. My cousin Meghan gave these to me a few years ago, and I have been hopelessly devoted to them ever since. (Thanks again Meg!!) I have a love affair with the color grey. Every shade of grey is my jam. So these muted, snakeskin beauties? Yes please!
Wow, I am so glad that fashion sneakers are a major trend, because that falls right in line with my comfy aesthetic that I have been digging recently.
With all of my school work taking up so much of my time, looking presentable has gone far down the to do list. But athleisure looks are carrying me through those days where I have major deadlines due, and I have to go out and be social.
Because I was feeling fun today, (and had 10 extra minutes to get ready) I accessorized with a long tassel Kendra Scott necklace, some gold bracelets, and my Aggie bling. And of course, I never leave the house without my sunnies.
