10 Spring Beauty Must-Haves
Spring has finally sprung, and I could not be more excited! Not only does the weather change, but so does our beauty and fashion trends. Recently, I have really been inspired by the new spring beauty editorials, and I have compiled a list of my own personal 10 spring beauty must-haves.

One of the newest trends in beauty right now is something called 'Cloud Cream'. My first thoughts included, "Wow, this sounds dreamy!!! Will this make my skin feel like a sky pillow?" But really, what is cloud cream? I've done some research, and here is what I've learned. Cloud creams that contain Hyaluronic Acid are the ones worth your time and money. Hyaluronic Acid (which naturally occurs in the body) secures moisture and creates fullness within the skin. Peter Thomas Roth has created this cream, which draws vapor from the surrounding air to create lasting hydration for up to 72 hours. W O W. My mind is blown. So while this product is on the pricer side, I think that this would be a great beauty product to invest in. And, in my *humble* opinion, I don't see this cloud cream craze leaving any time soon.
Matte lips were allllll the rage this past year. With Kylie Jenner lip kits, and ColorPop matte liquid lipsticks, you were hard-pressed to go out and not see a matte lip. But now that spring is rolling around, a glossy, polished lip is coming back into style. Personally, I've always loved and preferred (sorry to offend) a bold, saturated, glossy lip. Buxom has always provided a perfect, creamy formula, and now this color payout will not disappoint. This pink/nude named "White Russian" is a part of their newest collection, and it is the perfect 'no makeup' look. I can't wait to get my hands on this and rock this shade this coming spring and summer.
Dove has always been a staple in my beauty regimen, but now with their launch of a shower foam, I have a yet another product to add to my collection! Not everyone likes to use a bar of soap, some prefer a light lather that can be found in the form of a foam. Dove created this product to have a light, airy consistency while delivering deep nourishment. This will be a great addition to my beauty routine as I transition from winter to spring. Also, it won't break the bank and that part definitely makes me happy! Salon quality, drugstore price. Praise the Lord!
Now, I usually am not the kind of girl that ever would spend a ton of money on perfume. I like wearing fragrance, but I usually buy something from Bath & Body Works. But guys, this perfume is a game changer for me. I first came across this scent in a magazine insert, and after that first whiff, I was officially hooked! This fragrance is described as a 'Hot and Cold Floral'. A vanilla and tonka bean base note beautifully blends with a top note of ice-cool oranges. Some may think, "...uh...orange and vanilla?" But believe me when I say, it just works! I am in love with this perfume and I cannot wait to get my hands on a bottle!
If you know anything about me, you know two basic facts: 1. I love to sparkle 2. Champagne is my favorite drink in life. I developed my love of sparkles and champagne from my mother, THANK YOU MOM! So, now that you know more about me, can you see why I'm obsessed with this new highlighter? RMS Beauty has been a cult favorite in terms of highlight. The original Living Luminizer by this brand is famously used and beloved by Kendall Jenner. If it's good enough for the supermodel KarJenner, then it's good enough for me! The brand just released this new shade for spring, and it gives a "seductive, opalescent glow". It's a light, creamy formula, and I honestly cannot wait to add this to my makeup bag!
Glossier has quickly become one of my favorite beauty brands of all time. The whole aesthetic of the company puts all who shop there in a 'girl-boss' attitude. And lets be real, we all need a little reminder that we rock on a daily basis. The launch of their new gel-cream blush line has created a media frenzy. The moment I first read about this product, I (embarrassingly) squealed in delight. I just couldn't help myself. It is designed to be the most user-friendly blush on the market. Simply put, "if you can finger paint, than you can cloud paint". It offers sheer pigment, and can be easily applied with your fingertips. I just got these beauties in the mail, and I have to say, I don't think I'll ever go back to powder blush again. It is THAT good. This will not only be my spring must-have, but one of my all-time favorite beauty products.
This beauty brand is so utterly unique. Beauty Bakerie is a relatively unknown cosmetic brand to the masses, but is big with celebrities like Beyoncé. Yes, Queen Bey herself uses this brand. If that didn't snag you, than the packaging of this brand will. The entire brand plays off of sweet treats found in a bakery. This illuminator will bring out the shimmer and shine in everyone. It is hyper pigmented to create a flawless, airbrushed glow. Their whole array of shades are perfect for any and all skin tones, and lets be honest here, I can't get enough sparkle. This product comes in what looks like a carton of ice cream! So stinking cute. I can't wait to get my shine on with this product, so that come summertime, I'll glow like the sun.
Wearing SPF daily is always a must-have. Truthfully, we should never leave the house without it on our face and neck. In winter, I delude myself into thinking that I don't have to be as diligent, due to the colder weather, because, why would I be outside that often in the cold? But in the spring? I spend most of my free time in the sunshine. But if you're anything like me, I hate the feeling of greasy sunscreen on my (already oily) skin. Here is where Neutrogena comes in. They somehow have mastered the art of making an SPF that has a dry finish. It's like magic. But what's even more magical, is that this moisturizer evens skin tone and visibly brightens your skin. This product all but pays my taxes, it's so amazing. I'm going to stock up on this ASAP. (Lol, I don't even have any taxes to pay yet, but you get what I meant)
Earlier in this post, I had mentioned that glossy lips were back in style. But another trend I picked up from fashion month, was that designers are utilizing bright, bold lip colors. Think back to the 1980's when hot pink and bright hues were all the rage. It's no shock that the fashion world is turning back to trends from the 80's, when hit shows like Stranger Things transported us back to the days of Bonne Bell lip smackers and Jordache Jeans. So, I intend on making bold lip choices this spring, and what better way to do that than with this product? They come in so many fun colors, and can be found in any drugstore!
Last, but certainly not least, is this sleep mask by e.l.f. cosmetics. I quickly fell in love with e.l.f.; it is so affordable, but feels and acts like a high end brand. This sleep mask is infused with purified water, aloe, and jojoba extract to leave skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after a good night's sleep. When the weather gets warmer, I like to give my skin that extra boost, and this mask will definitely deliver. It also is the ultimate lazy girl product! I literally fall asleep with it on, and it does all the heavy lifting for me. My kind of beauty routine!
